Rick George writes suspense novels with substance, short stories, and occasional poems. His work has appeared in the print magazines The Timberline Review and Hypertext, and another story is slated for publication in The Evening Street Review in Spring 2018. In 2017, he was selected as a finalist in the Northwest Regional Emerging Writers Contest sponsored by the Montana Reading Association.
He has worked as an educator, wildland firefighter, and sports editor for a daily newspaper. He lives on a dirt road in the Cascade Mountains of Washington, where on some hikes from home he sees more bears than people.
